How to Get Started with the Adult Day Program
Our Adult Day Program helps individuals with autism become more independent, socially engaged, and prepared for the workforce.
After receiving your form, we’ll give you a call to discuss the program and your specific needs to ensure it’s the right fit for your loved one.
During this visit, your son/daughter will meet our staff while the parent/guardian tours the facility and completes the Intake Form.
After the tour and intake, we’ll determine if the program is appropriate and discuss the potential start date for your loved one.

What is the goal of the program?
The goal is to provide tailored services and support to adults with developmental
disabilities to enhance their independence, improve life skills, foster social
inclusion, and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement in their
communities.
What are the hours?
9:00am to 1:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Do I have to come every day?
No, you can come all 5 days or you can come Monday/Wednesday/Friday or
Tuesday/Thursday.
How much does it cost?
$85/day
Can I stay past 1:00pm?
At this time we do not have that option, but it’s something we are considering in
the future at an additional cost.
What services and activities are offered in the program?
Services may include life skills training (e.g., cooking, personal care),
socialization opportunities, vocational skills, recreational activities, and support
with daily living tasks. Each program will offer a variety of services depending on
individual needs.
How does the program support community integration?
At this time, we are not taking trips out in the community, but will have community
services come to our location (i.e., food truck, Happy Tails, Music Therapy, etc).
We will consider community in our future services.
Do you offer vocational skills training?
Yes, and this will be highly individualized to meet your needs.
How is the program tailored to individual needs?
The program offers person-centered planning, which means that each
participant’s needs, goals, and preferences are considered when designing their
support services. Individualized plans are created to ensure each adult receives
appropriate assistance and encouragement.
How do I pay for services?
We accept the NOW/COMP waiver and private pay. You will receive an invoice
15th and 30th of the month to provide to NOW/COMP or for private pay.
What ages do you accept?
Any age over 18.
Do you accept clients with problem behavior?
We are an adult day program, supervised by BCBAs. We will look at each
applicant’s needs and accept on an individual basis.
Who is eligible to join the program?
This program is designed for people with developmental disabilities such as
Down Syndrome, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, etc.
What is the enrollment process?

What qualifications do staff members have?
Staff members are typically trained professionals with experience in working with
individuals with developmental disabilities. They may include social workers,
caregivers, behavior specialists, or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). The
program will ensure that staff are certified in CPR, first aid, and other
relevant qualifications
Are there any transportation options available for participants?
No, we do not provide transportation.
What is the staff-to-participant ratio?
The ratio will fluctuate, based on the clients we are serving; however we will not
exceed one staff to six participants.
How does the program ensure the safety and well-being of participants?
The program will have policies in place to ensure the safety of participants, such
as risk assessments, emergency protocols, and ongoing staff training. The
program will also include regular communication with families or caregivers to
keep them informed of any concerns.
What happens if the participant’s needs change over time?
The program will be flexible to adjust to the evolving needs of the participants.
Regular assessments will help identify when changes are needed in terms of
services, support, or goals.
Are there any social or recreational activities?
Yes! The program will offer a range of social and recreational activities, such as
arts and crafts, fitness activities, or games.
How does the program help with employment or job skills development?
We will provide some job skill development, but at this time this will not include
help with employment.
