About Us

Summit Autism Center was founded in 2004 by Jennifer Mitchell and Shauna Courtney with the goal of providing individualized, direct therapy to children with autism using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Since its inception, our center has grown, and we’ve expanded our services to better meet the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Our commitment to quality therapy, compassionate care, and continuous improvement has helped us become a trusted resource for families in the Atlanta area and beyond.

Our Mission

At Summit Autism Center, we are dedicated to providing individualized, effective, and scientifically based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment for children with autism. We believe that every child has the potential to grow, and we strive to unlock that potential through intensive instruction in the areas of behavior, social skills, and communication. With compassion and empathy at the heart of our approach, we work to help our clients thrive in all areas of life.

With Summit Autism Center, you can feel confident that your loved ones will receive the highest quality care with our expertly trained therapists and committed leaders.

Our Staff

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)

All of our BCBAs are credentialed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field. Our BCBAs collaborate closely with clients and staff, implementing individualized treatment plans, analyzing and interpreting data, and training and supervising our team to ensure the highest quality of care.

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) / Therapists

Our RBTs and therapists are an integral part of our team, providing 1:1 direct therapy in our clinic. They receive on-site training and daily supervision from a BCBA to ensure consistency and the best possible care. All of our therapists hold the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or are actively working toward it based on BACB standards.

Supervision for BCBA Candidates

Summit Autism Center also offers independent fieldwork experience and supervision for BCBA candidates enrolled in graduate programs. Our center provides both direct and indirect hours, allowing candidates to gain the necessary experience to sit for the BCBA exam and earn their certification.
